Jerry Please Fire Jason Garrett, Also Yourself!!

Dear Mr. Jerry Jones,

I am a huge Dallas Cowboy’s fan and always have been, but I am getting fed up with these dumb ass coaches you, the GM keeps hiring. As an owner I think you are fantastic but as a GM and a talent evaluator, well you are horrible.  Please go hire someone like Jon Gruden, who has publicly asked for the job on Monday nights covering the Cowboys saying “I would love to coach the Dallas Cowboys”. Use all that money you have and entice Bill Cowher to come to the Big D instead of using it for plastic surgery because it isn’t making your face look better so use the money to make the team look better.

Please quit drafting players from Arkansas, like Felix Jones.

Jason Garrett can not coach, he can’t coach at all. Yes he had them on the win streak last season after you fired the Marshmallow Man but I kind of give that one to the players for getting tired of losing. I mean how many god damn “Draw” plays can you run in one game before you figure out the defense knows what is going on? Or can you throw a pass over the middle of the field to Dez or Austin? That’s what Brady, Brees and Rodgers do because their coaches have plays for their WR’s to go across the field not just the tight ends.

Also two games in a row he screwed the games up by calling timeout. The first one against the Cardinals where he iced his own damn kicker, WTF?!?!?! Then when they played the Giants the first game, he calls a timeout with like 56 or so seconds left when the Giants were about to score instead of making THEM use their last one. If they would have used their last one there then they wouldn’t have had one to ice the kicker and get a blocked field goal. I don’t even want to mention the Philadelphia games where the Cowboys looked like a Flower Mound youth football team.

Now to the talent on the team. Why do you think you know football players just because you own a team? The only good players on this team right now aside from 2 or 3 players I believe where brought in by Bill Parcells who you gave complete control too. those players would be Tony Romo, Jason Witten (maybe he was drafted before Parcells, not sure at the moment), DeMarcus Ware, and Miles Austin.  Maybe I am wrong on a couple of those but I’m just winging it right now, don’t have time to look it up!! LOL!! The couple of players that you and your puppets have brought in that are good are Sean Lee, DeMarco Murray and Dez Bryant, oh and I will give you Laurent Robinson too he has been great so make sure you re-sign him ok.

Terance Newman needs to be released, fired or forced to retire. he has cost the defense many touchdowns and embarrassing moments the past few years. I know you have some loyalty to players but he hasn’t done much for a while. Also Mike Jenkins is the biggest pussy in the NFL. He gets hurt every other play. I don’t mind Abram Elam or Sensabaugh but you have to at least have some cover corners to help out the not so great at defending safeties. Still you should get a DB in the draft maybe that kid from LSU that was up for the Heisman this year. Then go out in free agency and get a REAL cornerback or safety.

The offensive line, well I don’t know where any of these guys come from, undrafted, late rounds or somebody’s couch. Aside from Tyrone Smith you need everyone replaced. I am tired of seeing bad snaps for that dumb  face center he has “COSTA” bunch of games this season. And please let Smith protect Romo’s blind side next season instead of Free. Even if you have to draft another first rounder and start him at the beginning of the season I am fine with that just do something.

Even though you have already publicly cam out and said you were not gonna fire Jason Garrett, I sure hope you rethink that and hire a real football coach and while your at it please hire a real football GM. Just saying.

Well that’s it I guess for now Mr. Jones. i hope to see improvements next year because this is starting to get ridiculous.

Sincerely,

Big Cowboy P1

GO COWBOYS!!!

Who Voted For This Years Pro Bowl Teams?!?!

I have a few issues with this years Pro Bowl rosters, I don’t know who in the hell voted for some of these players but I am quite disappointed in some of the picks.

Most of them I agree with or can see why they were picked but there are a couple that leave me baffled.

The most surprising pick that completely upset me was that the 3rd QB voted to the NFC’s Pro Bowl roster was the New York Giants, Eli Manning. WHAT?!?!?!?! How in the hell did he get voted in over Detroit’s Matthew Stafford or Dallas’ Tony Romo?

Before anyone starts bashing over it being “Oh he’s a QB for the Lions” or “Whatever it’s Homo Romo”, let me show you why Eli shouldn’t be there ahead of them.

All three players stats for this season:

QB Eli Manning, New York Giants: 26 TD’s – 16 INT’s, QB Rating 90.3, Fumbles lost 4 a total of 20 turnovers

QB Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions: 36 TD’s – 14 INT’s, QB Rating 96.6, Fumbles lost 1, a total of 15 turnovers

QB Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys: 29TD’s – 9 INT’s, QB Rating 102.2, Fumbles lost 2, a total of 11 turnovers

From what I see Tony Romo is the clear pick to win out of these 3 QB’s. But I could see Stafford going ahead of Eli for the spot on the roster too.

It is crazy that Eli Manning made the freaking roster. I also don’t see how Marshawn Lynch, RB of the Seattle Seahawks was left out.

As for the AFC roster the only thing that I don’t really like is that TE Antonio Gates got a spot and TE Aaron Hernandez of the Patriots was left out. Even though Hernandez plays behind Gronkowski he still had a better season than Antonio Gates. Antonio Gates didn’t do much until late in the season and their record shows that. As for Hernandez, he has been a beast all season long and if Gronkowski wasn’t there he would probably be the top TE in the NFL this season.

Below is the roster for both conferences. Check it out and tell me what you agree with or disagree with. Who do you think deserved to be in there or not. And you all better say Eli Manning shouldn’t!!!! :)

New UFC Heavyweight Champion!!!!

On Saturday night November 12, 2011 the UFC held it’s Heavyweight Championship bout on Fox for the fight fans to watch for free on network television. Surprisingly it was between two of the best Heavyweights in the division and the world, what a treat for the fight fans who can’t afford to purchase the high priced pay-per views.

The current Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez was set to defend his title for the first time against the #1 Contender Junior Dos Santos. Both men are excellent fighters and have devastating knockout power. Cain is the better wrestler and Dos Santos probably has the best boxing in the heavyweight division. This fight looked to be an awesome showdown between the two behemoths.

When the fight started the Champ Cain Velasquez came out looking like he was trying to feel out Dos Santos throwing a few leg kicks and a couple of punches. Dos Santos landed a straight right and then stepped back, as they came back in Cain came forward and Dos Santos threw a weak left hook to set up his overhand right that landed on the ear of Velasquez and dropped him. Dos Santos pounced on him and started landing shot after shot until John McCarthy stepped in and stopped the fight after only 1 minute and 4 seconds in the first round. Giving Junior Dos Santos the Heavyweight Championship and the belt.

I predicted that Dos Santos would win this fight but I truly believed it would go a lot longer than it did. Although I wanted and picked Dos Santos to win, I do like Cain Velasquez very much so it was hard to root against him also. Whatever the outcome would have been I would still have been happy. They are both very talented and gifted fighters who will only get better. I really don’t know if I can see anyone in the Heavyweight division beating Dos Santos, I just think he is too good. Former Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar who was beat by Cain Velasquez will fight Allistair Overeem who was the former Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion and recently signed with the UFC. Whoever the winner of that fight is will face Junior Dos Santos for the championship. Regardless of who wins that fight, I don’t think either of them will beat Dos Santos regardless of the fact that many believe Allistar is the best Heavyweight in the world.

Well I would like to congratulate Junior Dos Santos for his victory against Cain Velasquez and earning his new Heavyweight Title. He deserves it and is a great person and fighter. Much respect to Cain Velasquez too who is hardworking beast and got caught with a great punch by a great fighter. Cain will be back and will more than likely get another shot at the title in the future.

Congratulations Junior Dos Santos, new Heavyweight Champion of the World!!!

Fighting For The Future

Hey everybody, I won’t to share this promo video with you that is intended for the youth. It is a non-profit organization created by some friends of mine that are Professional MMA fighters. They have created an organization for youths to try and keep them out harmful situations that a lot of societies youths are in. These guys are great guys and have trained with them in the past for many years, I still train with some of them.

It is an MMA program that helps youth stay out of trouble and possibly getting dragged into bad situations brought on by others. I myself was a very troubled kid in my younger ages all the way up into my teens. I had severe anger issues and I was constantly getting into fights on the street and at school. Most of it was brought on from the child hood I had but i had to find a way to control it because it was getting me into serious trouble and it just wasn’t the person I needed to be. I started on the right path when I joined the U.S. Army and I started training in boxing and MMA, which I also trained in advanced combat for the MOS I had in the Army. When I got out of the military I started training more and more into MMA. I will say that it was the best thing for me, not only did it teach me how to control things better and keep myself out of trouble, I always exerted all of my energy in the gym training. After training you are too tired to get in trouble, you don’t even want to eat you just wanna fall on the bed and pass out.

A friend of my sons had an older brother who was a lot like with me with anger issues and getting in trouble and fighting and I tried to take him under my wing and show him about MMA. I started taking him to classes with me when he was 16 and he loved it. I talked with him a lot and we trained together almost every day. He started getting a lot better from all this and now he is a solid United States Marine and a very stable young man.

Many people feel like MMA or any type of fighting systems are all brutal and will not allow their children to participate in it, and they feel like anybody that does it is just a bully or a douchebag that wants to go around beating the hell out of people. That’s not the case. Even though when you watch UFC or something and there are guys that act like douchebags, but most of that is just hype for the fight to bring in more ticket sales. Most of these guys are stand up people even the ones that act like asses when the camera is rolling.

This is a great program for teens to be involved with and you should definitely give it a try. A lot of parents work, there are a lot of single parents out there like myself that can’t be there all the time when their kids get dismissed from school, so this would be a great program for their children. I mean would you rather have your kids in a good program with good people teaching them or have them running around doing God knows what with their friends being put in peer pressure situations and/or dangerous situations?

Give it shot, if you don’t like it then that’s fine but I can promise you the kids will love it and it will make them feel better and will make them better people.

Week 9 NFL Picks

What’s up peeps?!?! Sorry I have been slacking on my NFL Weekly Picks but I have been busy as hell with work and other personal stuff. Anyways enough about that, I am ready for some football this weekend!! This past weekend was a very disappointing weekend in the world of sports for me with the Texas Rangers blowing the Game 6 win they had then following it up with a Game 7 give up. Then my sons high school team gets throttled by the #1 team in the district, B.J. Penn gets beat by Nick Diaz’s punk ass. Then I thought my weekend was gonna get better as the Cowboys took on the Eagles until the Eagles went up 21-0 in like 5 seconds.

Hopefully this weekend will be much better. I believe it will, I have sports faith!!

Disappointing Night

Well, today the sports world sucked for me. Don’t have much to say, pretty depressing tonight. The Texas Rangers lose the World Series for the second year in a row, my sons team the South Hills Scorpions didn’t show up to play tonight. Well I take that back a few players including my son showed up but the whole defense failed to show up and the coaching staff left their brains on the damn bus or something.

I don’t really have the mindset to go through all of it but I am sure I will get on here and rant about it all tomorrow. As for tonight I guess I am gonna go sulk in my room and play some Madden 12, at least I know my teams will win on there!! LOL!!

I am not taking anything away from the St. Louis Cardinals or the Southwest Raiders (the team my sons team played), they both showed up to play and that was the difference. Good job to both teams for wanting it more than the other teams. I really don’t know what to say right now, I am still kind of speechless and still in shock at the result of both games tonight. Hopefully my Dallas Cowboys can go out and beat the “Dreaded & Feared” Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Still a Texas Rangers fan for life and always support my sons team the South Hills Scorpions, just a disappointing night. Ready for Sunday night and the Dallas Cowboys. Oh yeah and UFC Saturday night.

Alright Peace Out everybody!

GO COWBOYS!!!!

Murray & Tanner, The New Dallas Duo? I Believe So!!!

On Sunday Oct. 23rd the Dallas Cowboys took on the St. Louis Rams and it was a breakout day for rookie RB DeMarco Murray. DeMarco didn’t even begin the game as the starter but after a few plays he was the main man on the offensive side of the ball. Tashard choice started the game at tailback but after a few plays Tony Romo handed the ball off on a draw play to DeMarco Murray on the Dallas 9-yard line and he was off to the races for a 91-yard TD run. After that it was the Murray show. Not only with the 91-yard TD run being the second longest in team history behind Tony Dorsett’s 99-yarder, DeMarco also broke Emmitt Smith’s single game rushing record recording 253 rushing yards on 25 carries and scoring 1 TD. Below is his 91 yard TD run.

DeMarco Murray was not the only RB showing his ass on Sunday for the Cowboys, fellow rookie RB Phillip Tanner got his chance to shine to rushing 6 times for 34 yards and scoring a hard fought TD. Both rookies shined on Sunday for the Dallas Cowboys, while many say it was because they were playing against the Rams I have to argue that many people said the same thing when WR Miles Austin had his breakout moment against the Kansas City Chiefs. After Austin had his 200+ receiving yard performance he kept on racking up yardage against every team they played and he wound up in the Pro Bowl.

Now I do agree that it probably helped them both out playing against the Rams but i do believe these two runningbacks are far better than Felix jones and Tashard Choice. While I am a big Tashard Choice fan, up to this point him nor Felix Jones have had any kind of impact on the running game this year. Ever since Felix suffered his injury a few years ago he hasn’t had the explosiveness that he had when he first came into the league, I don’t know if he will ever get it back. As for Choice, well he has had some trouble protecting the ball and neither one of them have been able to gain many yards and neither to to fight for extra yards. Murray was running through would be tacklers and was constantly churning his legs for more yards. Even Tanner was battling through tacklers especially on his touchdown run. He wouldn’t have got the touchdown if it wasn’t for the second effort.

The Cowboys haven’t said that DeMarco Murray is going to be the starter from this point but if it were up to me I would have him starting and see if he has it for more than just the Rams game. It should be Murray starting and Tanner being the change of pace back and maybe goal line carries. This could be another duo like the Ron Dayne/Tiki Barber Thunder and Lighting tandem or the Brandon Jacobs/Ahmad Bradshaw duo. If these guys can keep producing the way they did Sunday it will take a tremendous amount of pressure off of Romo and he wouldn’t be so eager to try and force a play to make something happen which results in a costly turnover. With these two added weapons to the offense that is already stacked with Romo, Witten, Austin and Bryant……WHOOOAAAAA!! They are going to be hard to stop.

What do you guys think of Jerry Jones trading away either Felix Jones or Tashard Choice or both and also Martellus Bennett who hasn’t lived up to anything so far for a star offensive lineman or defensive back and maybe a draft pick or two? I would definitely do that for next year, I mean they can bring in a veteran runningback to backup Murray and Tanner, hell they even have Lonyae Miller on the roster who the coaching staff has been high on in the pre-season and training camp. As for Bennett, john Phillips should be the backup to Witten, he is a lot better and has done a lot more than Bennett.

Maybe they can do something like that or perhaps it’s just wishful thinking but however it comes to be, DeMarco Murray and Phillip Tanner should be the featured runners in the Cowboys offense. Bye, Bye Felix and Choice.

My Fantasy picks for this weekend:

For this weeks fantasy picks a couple of them are players who are getting their first starts in this year in an NFL game. I think they will have big games.

    1) QB Tim Tebow, Denver Broncos:

Yes a lot of people think Tebow is going to stink as an NFL quarternback and although I don’t think he is an awesome QB I do think he is a winner and that’s what you need on your team especially if you are the the Denver Broncos. In his first start he is going up against a bad Miami Dolphins team so that should help out his confidence going into his next start. I think Tebow will have a good game running and passing against the Dolphins. I am pretty sure the Dolphins are going to blitz their asses off trying to get to him but like I said he is a winner and he will figure out a way around.

     2) RB DeMarco Murray, Dallas Cowboys:

The Cowboys running game has been non existent this season so far except in one game but today they go up against the St. Louis Rams probably the worst team in the NFL right now. With Felix Jones out with numerous injuries Rookie DeMarco Murray will get the start with Tashard Choice getting a few carries. In their last game when Felix hurt his ankle Murray came in  and did a very decent job filling in for him and I believe that’s what made the coaches choose him over Choice this week. DeMarco Murray will have a big game in his first NFL start, if he was on my fantasy team I would definitely start him against the Rams.

            3) Def/ST Dallas Cowboys

Today Rob Ryan, Mr. Overweight Fabio’s defense will have a big game today against the St. Louis Rams. The Rams are horrible and are averaging the worst PPG than any other team in the NFL. Not only that but their QB Sam Bradford is hurt and has been in a walking boot all week. If he starts the defense will be going nuts on him and if he doesn’t then the defense is going to go nuts on A.J. Feeley. I am anticipating a big game from LB’s DeMarcus Ware and Anthony Spencer. Sean Lee may get another pick this week!! As for the Dallas special teams unit I am not sure on them because they released their return guy rookie Duane Harris this week. They have been trying Ogletree but he is worthless I think. The coaches have said they have been thinking of putting WR Dez Bryant back there, if they do then I am definitely looking forward to that because he is an awesome punt returner. I don’t care if he’s your starting WR, you have to play your best players at any position and he is the best punt returner on the team.

Well there are my picks people, let me know your picks and go ahead and let me know if you think I am stupid for some of my picks.

Let’s talk football!!!
